Into Ivy Mansion calls on the adventurers to clear out a wing of a magical manor of anything.... nasty. SPOILERS AHEAD.
We start out by being contacted by an eccentric wizard named Tristan who recently aquired this wing of his families manor due to his uncle disappearing. He knows his uncle was into magical experimentation and wants the players to clear out the wing of anything dangerous.
Once the players arrive at the manor, they are greeted by Clank, an animated suit of armor and the caretaker of the manor. He gives the players a map that Tristan has labeled with his future plans for the manor, such as where his swimming pool will go (currently a library).
The players will find various magical items trying to attack them such as mimics and a wererat man as they explore the manor. Eventually the group may stumble upon a girl tied up repeating a rhyme about some demon (actually an Omni). If they explore into the vault of the basement, or take too long to close the vault door they will be confronted with the Omni.
The twist comes at the end when the players find a magical telescope. Tristan's uncle actually trapped himself on the moon on accident. There is a chance that a player may also become trapped on the moon... without any air. If the players save the uncle, Tristan cannot aquire the wing. If the uncle dies or is not found, Tristan still aquires the wing.
This module has a lot to like about for a DM. It is very easy to run as the story is easy to follow, the rooms are described well, and the PDF flows very well. It comes with a fun map handout that has all of the rooms mislabeled, which my players enjoyed. The twist is cool but unfortunately my players did not end up swapping places with the uncle.
