Magic Village for Sale focuses on checking up on a village a wizard recently purchased. SPOILERS AHEAD.
We start out by being contacted by Tristan Harpell, an eccentric wizard who recently purchased a village with a magical grove of silver trees. He has suspicions that the seller (his on again/off again girlfriend) may have tricked him.
Once the players arrive to the village, they notice that it looks like it has been empty for at least a month. There are no people in town and the gardens are overgrown. As they enter the magical orchard in the center of the town they black out.
Once they awake they find themselves shrunk down to the size of a marble. They must make it to the center of the village while avoiding birds, bugs, and thugs to stop the magic that is shrinking the entire town.
This module was a blast to DM and the players all seemed to enjoy it as well. I gave this module a 10/10 on ease of DMing because it was so easy to prep for (it took me about an hour to prep). It flows very well and you can choose which encounters to throw at your players to adjust for time. One piece of advice I would give is to better describe the first scene after they are shrunk down. My players did not notice that they were shrunk down until they made it to the basket with the elves. The story is fun and different, I'm pretty new to DMing but I've never seen a module with the party being shrunk down. There are a lot of roleplay opportunities especially after the players realize they have been shrunk. The combat is fun, when else will the players have to fight off a bird with the stats of a dragon? The PDF quality is great as always from M.T. Black.
